The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the theme for World Health Day 2026 (April 7) as “Together for health. Stand with science”.
April 2026 features a diverse array of festivals in India, starting with Hanuman Jayanti on April 2 and Good Friday on April 3, Mid-April highlights regional New Year celebrations, including Balsakhi, Vishu and Poila Baisakh on April 14-15. Key religious observances include Akshaya Tritya on April 19 and Narasimha Jayanti on April 30.

March, the third month of the Gregorian calendar, was named after Mars, the Roman god of war. In ancient Rome, March marked the beginning of the new year and the start of the military campaign season.
March is known for the arrival of spring in many parts of the world and is associated with renewal and growth. The month also includes well-known observances such as International Women’s Day, celebrating culture, history, and global achievements.

May is the fifth month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars, coming between April and June. It has 31 days. The month of May might have been named for the Roman goddess Maia, or more likely the Roman goddess of fertility Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May.
